Sr. Sales Development Rep
Summary/Objective

As a Sr. Sales Development Representative you will be responsible for prospecting and identifying new customers to PROFIT by Paymentus.  You will partner with Account Managers to help businesses understand the value of PROFIT by Paymentus as an All-in-One solution and the benefits they will experience.

Sales Development Representatives, ‘execution’ arm of the Demand Generation team, are key members of the go-to-market team and responsible for prospecting and reaching out to responders, qualifying them and taking the deals to signing. In this role, you'll become comfortable with account development, engaging high level business and technical decision makers, and the ability to identify and develop opportunities as part of a high performing sales team.

 

Essential Functions/ Responsibilities Own ‘full funnel’ development that includes a fast response to interested prospects, moving prospects through the funnel, and taking each to account opening. Demonstrate sales strategy and leadership qualities Identify and build out partner networks Follow up on leads generated by our Marketing team and move them through the onboarding funnel. Identify growing small businesses and potential partners that would value from PROFIT by Paymentus. Prospect small businesses that are growing and spending; educate them on our All-in-One financial platform. Set up product demos to walk them through the platform. Navigate through a conversation flow to uncover business needs, understand pains, and position PROFIT by Paymentus as a compelling solution to various buyer personas. Maintain and update an accurate log of activity in the CRM system (Hubspot/Salesforce) Hit daily KPIs across a variety of touchpoints: Zoom, email, phone, and social. Use email and cold calling to correspond with leads to follow up and/or confirm appointments. Provide feedback and mentoring to others in the department related to information prospects share that could be helpful in advertising/marketing as well as our overall programs. Perform outbound activities and achieve monthly performance targets for opportunity development and advancement. Create and execute account plans in partnership with SMB product owners. Leverage internal tools and networking to drive new business. Partner with the Marketing team to effectively land marketing programs into assigned accounts. Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Education and Experience 5+ years experience in SaaS, Small Business Sales, or B2B Sales. Prior experience in a similar role with a proven track record of sales in outbound calling and emailing. Strong communication skills to passionately and clearly articulate the value of PROFIT by Paymentus to various buyer personas. A team-player attitude with a desire to improve internal processes beyond your day-to-day tasks. A high sense of urgency that can adapt and pivot in every conversation. Work with Marketing Operations to strategize, define, execute and optimize prospecting approaches through A/B tests. A desire to learn, grow, and get in on the ground floor of a high-growth division while refining your career in tech sales and leadership Demonstrated ability to exceed impact & activity quotas. Customer service and relationship building are highly desirable. Able to work in a fast-paced, self-directed entrepreneurial environment that is motivated by revenue growth. Experience using a CRM like HubSpot or Salesforce and/or platforms like Salesloft is a plus but not required.

 

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers and smartphones.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.  The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee may be required to life up to 25 lbs.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday during normal business hours. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
