Sr. Sales Manager, Laboratory Products

The District Sales Manager is a field-based management position accountable for sales results and leadership of account managers within the Texas District. The successful candidate will drive successful business outcomes, streamline business processes, and ensure efficient handling of business resources. Incumbents in this position are accountable to commercial leadership for (1) achieving agreed-upon sales and financial targets with accurate forecasting and business analysis, (2) ensuring effective sales and service coverage, (3) attracting, retaining, and developing highly qualified account managers to realize growth opportunities available in the assigned market, (4) establishing and maintaining effective professional relationships with key customer executives, (5) setting accurate quota allocation in their assigned geographic market, and (6) providing service to customers consistent with Laboratory Products Group standards and expectations. **How you will make an impact:** + Lead Lab Products representatives to deliver bookings, revenue, profitability, and market share growth objectives. + Partner with appropriate colleagues to develop the commercial sales plan in assigned territory and developing/implementing tactics to accomplish growth targets. + Work closely with Business Unit product management teams to ensure clear communication and understanding of marketing and new product plans. Represents customer needs in the creation of new products and solutions. + Lead sales forecast for the district using Salesforce.com (SFDC) CRM platform + Work with channel partners to drive bookings and revenue + Employ and adopt PPI as a means to improve the efficiency and effectiveness + Talent management, recruitment/selection, coaching, mentoring, training, development, performance management of direct reports **Education** + Bachelor's Degree required - Life Sciences, STEM or Business preferred **Experience** + 7+ years’ experience in sales, preferably within the life sciences industry, with 2+ years in sales management strongly preferred **Knowledge, Skills, Abilities** + Role model sales leader with ability to develop and empower people at all levels + Strong analytical skills: the ability to draw conclusions and observations from market trends and unit analysis. + Ability to operate independently, with initiative and good business judgment. + Ability to travel up to 50%.
