Sr. Scrum Master - JIRA Coach - Hybrid Onsite - ATL
Insight Global
A customer of Insight Global is looking for a Sr. Scrum Master to join their PMO team in January 2025. The main priority of the role is teaching JIRA best practices and maximizing efficiencies within JIRA boards. The secondary priority will be acting as the Scrum Master / Technical Project Manager on projects that are currently being budgeted and scheduled. Customer is looking for someone who has worked as Project Manager and Scrum Master, since currently the teams that the PMO supports are working in a hybrid Waterfall / Agile approach. The PMO is currently getting everyone acclimated to using JIRA, creating user stories, and mapping out the work that way. They have projects and optimizations that need to be laid out in JIRA, and need the Scrum Master to help establish new JIRA boards and also assess current boards. This person will also be managing small-medium projects, assisting with annual/quarterly planning, project budgeting, and agile coaching. Upon starting the role, this person will get ramped up on the technical teams that the PMO supports and will learn what is already happening in JIRA. They will look at current status of all teams/projects that are in JIRA and make recommendations on how optimize efficiencies within JIRA. They will also help with coaching and buy-in with JIRA, because there a handful of technical teams that have not embraced the new process yet. They will set up the JIRA process for new projects coming into the pipeline as well. The teams that this person will be working with are cloud operations teams, cybersecurity teams, and the team that owns all the supply chain systems (WMS, ERP, Yard Management, etc.). This Scrum Master will need experience supporting these types of technical teams. The goal is to increase the JIRA footprint to help the technical teams manage their current and future workloads. The secondary focus of the role is managing projects which could include: working with vendors to implement new systems, enhancements / upgrades to existing systems, working on new modules within existing systems, and anything that could pertain to standing up new distribution centers. The PMO is hoping to have these projects inked and scheduled out by December 2024.
