Summary/Objective: The Senior Security Analyst is responsible for protecting the organization's information assets by proactively identifying, analyzing, and responding to security threats and vulnerabilities. This role requires advanced technical expertise, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with various teams to ensure a strong and resilient security posture. The Senior Security Analyst will also provide guidance and mentorship to junior security team members. Duties and Responsibilities: Monitor and analyze security events, logs, and alerts from various sources, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, endpoint protection, and SIEM tools. Investigate and respond to security incidents, working closely with other security teams and stakeholders to ensure timely and effective resolution. Conduct regular security assessments, and audits, to identify risks, vulnerabilities, and areas for improvement. Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to define security requirements and develop effective solutions that protect critical assets and data. Design, implement, and maintain security controls, processes, and technologies to prevent, detect, and respond to threats and vulnerabilities. This includes but is not limited to Privileged Access, Vulnerability & Patch Management, and Endpoint Security Evaluate and recommend security solutions, including hardware, software, and services, to enhance the organization's security capabilities. Develop and maintain documentation related to security policies, procedures, and standards. Maintain an up-to-date understanding of emerging security threats, industry trends, and best practices, and apply this knowledge to continuously improve the organization's security posture. Provide expert guidance on the integration of security controls into the organization's infrastructure, applications, and processes. Mentor and support junior security team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Other duties as assigned. Working Conditions: Primarily working indoors, home and in office environment. May sit for several hours at a time. Prolonged exposure to computer screens. Repetitive use of hands to operate computers, printers, and copiers. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field or equivalent years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree. 5+ of experience in information security, with a focus on security operations, incident response, and vulnerability management. Essential Functions: Perform detailed risk assessments and execute tests of data processing system to ensure functioning of data processing activities and security measures. Develop and implement strategies to manage identified risks efficiently. Develop, implement, and oversee Lippert’s security policies and procedures, ensuring they comply with legal and regulatory requirements. Regularly review and update policies to reflect the changing threat landscape. Serve as the primary point of contact during security incidents, coordinating response efforts to minimize impact. Develop and maintain an incident response plan and recovery procedures to ensure prompt and effective action in the event of a security breach. Create and administer training programs for staff to ensure that they understand their roles and responsibilities related to security, are aware of policy, and are equipped to follow best practices. Assess and select security technologies and products. Manage relationships with vendors to ensure that services and products meet the organization’s security requirements and standards. Communicate complex security risks and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders. Competencies: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong organizational skills Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong time management skills A strong commitment to staying current with industry trends, emerging threats, and best practices in information security. Supervisory Responsibility: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities upon hire. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time salary position with a work-from-home option. The position is required to be available 24x7x365 as needed to respond to security threats, incidents and breaches affecting the organization. Travel: Travel will be moderate and will include domestic and international. Preferred Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree CySA+, Security+, or CEH certification Work Authorization/Security Clearance: Must be able to pass EVerify.
