Sr. Shipping Supervisor

Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. **What You'll Be Doing** + Oversee daily shipping operations and manage up to 29 direct reports. + Coordinate with production and logistics teams to optimize shipping schedules. + Communicate with outside contractors, including Union Pacific Railroad, for proper rail shipments and rail car utilization, as well as contractors for rail repairs. + Maintain inventory records and ensure compliance with safety regulations. + Train and supervise shipping personnel to enhance team performance and resolve any shipping issues promptly. **What Are We Looking For** + Strong leadership and team management skills. + Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. + Proficiency in inventory management and logistics software. + Effective communication and problem-solving skills. + Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance. **Work Environment** + Fast-paced, dynamic work environment within a quarry setting. + Collaborative team atmosphere with a focus on continuous improvement. + Opportunities for professional growth and development. **Physical Demands of the Job** + Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. + Frequent standing, walking, and climbing. + Exposure to outdoor weather conditions and varying temperatures. + Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. **Essential Experience and Skills** + 3+ years of relevant work experience. + Self-starter with high energy and a minimum of five to seven years of related experience. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP experience is a plus. + Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical documents and solve complex problems. + Excellent communication skills for presenting information and responding to questions from various stakeholders. **What We Offer** + Salary Target Range $75,300 - $97,884 + Competitive base salary and participation in our annual incentive plan. + 401(k) retirement savings plan with an automatic company contribution as well as matching contributions. + Highly competitive benefits programs, including: + Medical, Dental, and Vision along with Prescription Drug Benefits. + Health Savings Account (HSA), Health Reimbursement Account (HRA), and Flexible Spending Account (FSA). + AD&D, Short- and Long-Term Disability Coverage as well as Basic Life Insurance. + Paid Bonding Leave, 15 days of Paid Vacation, 40 hours of Paid Sick Leave, and 10 Paid Holidays.
