Fleet Services By Cox Automotive is currently hiring a Service Writer and Estimator II to join our team to support future growth of the Company. This role provides accurate repair estimates for body, trailer, detail, and/or mechanic services. This may include traveling to customer locations as needed. May assist in negotiating estimates to gain customer approval. Primarily stays onsite and works closely with Lead Techs and Parts Teams to develop the repair plan for each vehicle, including determining lead times for getting parts and labor hours to complete the repairs. Responsible for customer communication on work progress/timelines. Relays repair plan changes to the customer. May offer additional services/products to customers. May be involved in billing or invoicing customers.
Responsibilities
Provides higher level Service Writing support for a service center location. Inspects trucks/trailers for damages and evaluates using visual inspection, mechanical testing devices, road tests and information provided with the trucks/trailers. Evaluates the necessity and cost of repairs. Meets with customer (i.e., dealers, rental groups or retail customers) to discuss damages, the repair process, timelines and costs. Creates accurate estimates detailing repair and labor costs. Liaises with maintenance and/or refurbishment teams to place work orders and detail part replacements and labor requirements. Maintains communication with customers and remains available to answer questions and deal with concerns. Monitors repair activity and performs inspections to verify status, completion and outcome.technical/functional skills

Education, Experience, and Qualifications
