Team Description
Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) combines software and systems engineering to build and run large-scale, massively distributed, fault-tolerant systems. SRE ensures that Sabre's services—both our internally critical and our externally visible systems—have reliability, uptime appropriate to users' needs, and a fast rate of improvement. Additionally, SRE’s will keep an ever-watchful eye on our systems capacity and performance. Much of our software development focuses on optimizing existing systems, building infrastructure, and eliminating work through automation.
On the SRE team, you’ll have the opportunity to lead & manage the complex challenges of scale while using your expertise in coding/scripting, algorithms, troubleshooting, complexity analysis, small/large scale system design, and leadership skills.

Role and Responsibilities:
• Become an SME on our business product and support it to ensure is reliable and secure.
• Closely work with internal networking and external clients for environment integrations
• Lead key DevOps Initiatives for specific products
• Manage and Support cloud development environments
• Provision and Manage Cloud environments (AWS/GCP)
• Collaborates with Engineering teams in an Agile environment to remove roadblocks and facilitate successful delivery of the work items
• Proactively share knowledge on DevOps best practices, tools and emerging technologies
• Knowledge of Change Management Procedures (i.e Service Now)
• Identify Opportunities for automation and implement innovative solutions to drive efficiencies, simplicities and speed
• Participate in long-term strategies for scalability, stability and high availability of platform
• Hands-on expertise & understanding in ITIL Change Management (i.e., ServiceNow) procedures to be able to participate in root cause analysis for preventive actions.
• Hands-on expertise in Cloud computing, especially AWS/GCP, to contribute in on-prem to GCP cloud migrations.
• Should be able to be part in the incident calls and closely work with the incident management teams and problem management.
• Ability to communicate effectively to stake holders and higher management in terms of project status, incidents, problems and root cause.
• Responsible in supporting Sabre’s application portfolios hosted in both cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
• Collaborate with the Engineering, Technology, other relevant enterprise teams in an agile environment.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Required Skills & Experience:
• Minimum 4 years of experience as SRE/DevOps engineer
• Experience with several open source tools (Ansible, Jenkins , Kubernetes, Git, GitHub etc)
• Strong expertise in Jenkins
• Experience with some Scripting languages such as Python, Perl
• Strong experience with Red Hat Linux. Must feel comfortable with shell scripting.
• Strong expertise in AWS, managing cloud infrastructure and writing CloudFormation, and working knowledge of Terraform.
• Strong expertise in building the CICD pipeline.
• Experience operating with observability tools like Splunk, AppDynamics, CloudWatch or GCP Cloud logging.
• Ability to influence and provide technical direction to the members of the agile team
• Proactive team player with the ability to work in a globally dynamic environment.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks/subprojects simultaneously; organizational skills
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; computer science degree preferred.
• Fundamental knowledge of Load balancers, firewalls, TCP/IP protocols, TCP/IP, HTTP protocols and Networking, DNS/Firewalls, F5 Load balancing.
• Solid knowledge of web architectural and design patterns.
• Good understanding and experience in Application support.
