Our Team
The HashiCorp IP Compliance and Assurance Engineering team is tasked with building and establishing governance around Code governance, Detect IP Compliance breakages and provide assurance about our licensing. The team combines software engineering, cloud infrastructure engineering, and a deep understanding of Code governance issues, focusing on tooling development, cloud optimization, and governance. Working closely with product, and engineering, the team delivers outcomes that align with HashiCorp’s compliance and licensing goals.
About this Role
As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development and enhancement of our code licensing and governance systems. Your contributions will be pivotal in building solutions that not only meet technical requirements but also comply with intellectual property laws.
In this role, you can expect to:
Develop high-quality code with an emphasis on security and scalability, particularly in environments governed by strict IP compliance requirements. Design and implement robust solutions for code governance and IP compliance, ensuring they integrate seamlessly with existing systems. Lead projects from a technical perspective, ensuring that development timelines and project milestones are met. Work closely with the Engineering Manager and other team members to refine and execute development strategies, sharing expertise and insights to drive project success. ctively contribute to the continuous improvement of our development practices, particularly in areas related to code compliance and licensing governance.

You bring 5+ years of experience in software development with a strong background in at least one major programming language (Go, Java, Python) and have demonstrable experience with major cloud platforms. You have a keen interest or existing experience in code licensing and intellectual property compliance. You are skilled in managing complex software projects across diverse teams and technologies. You possess the ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges. You excel in agile environments and are adept at driving technical and cultural change towards enhanced compliance and efficiency.
