Responsibilities

The Senior Software Developer develops application software to support various IT initiatives at Berkley Re America.  Key functions include but are not limited to:

Collaborate with other developers on the team.Analyze, design, code, test and deploy the reinsurance software that supports Berkely Re-America.Work with business users to gather business requirements, test results as well as identify and uncover issues.

 

Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.  Eight years of experience as an application developer. Must have experience in requirement analysis, system design and development.  Must have proven experience in developing applications using VB Net, C#, .Net core, Web API, JavaScript, JQuery. Additional experience in MVC, ADO.Net, Entity Framework, LINQ, JSON, CSS, Angular 8 and later, Node JS, IIS, Visual Studio.NET, VS Code, TFS, Git, Atlassian Tools.  Thorough understanding of RDBMS with ability to write DDL, DML scripts, stored procedure, triggers, views, knowledge of MS SQL Server. UML skills and working knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming and design patterns preferred.
