About the Opportunity

DMI, LLC is seeking a Program Manager to join us. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

A Software Engineer on a federal IT contract plays a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that meet government requirements and comply with federal regulations. Key duties include:Software Development: Write, test, and maintain code for software applications, ensuring they meet functional and technical specifications.System Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to design and architect software systems, ensuring alignment with federal standards, security requirements, and user needs.Compliance and Security: Implement software solutions that adhere to federal regulations such as FISMA, HIPAA, and NIST guidelines, ensuring security, data privacy, and accessibility (e.g., Section 508 compliance).Troubleshooting and Bug Fixing: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects, ensuring high system reliability and performance.Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including other engineers, testers, and project managers, to deliver software projects on time and within scope.Documentation: Create detailed technical documentation, including system specifications, code comments, and user manuals, to support ongoing maintenance and future development.Testing and Quality Assurance: Participate in unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing to ensure that software meets requirements and functions as expected.Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and technologies, recommending improvements and adopting best practices to enhance software development processes.Support and Maintenance: Provide ongoing support for deployed systems, including troubleshooting issues and applying patches or updates as necessary.These responsibilities ensure that software engineers contribute to the successful implementation and operation of IT systems for federal agencies. Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience:  

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in software engineering related to front-end and back-end applications and/or data services to include: Experience with full stack engineering (defined as proficient in database development/integration as well as server and client application development/integration) Experience deploying production enterprise applications. Experience in large-scale, high-performance enterprise application deployment and solution architecture on complex heterogeneous environments. Experience with automation and engineering tasks, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) implementation, Low-Code, No-Code, and security engineer tasks.Experience in DevSecOps and cloud environments
