Sr. Software Engineer

Tessent is looking for a highly motivated, creative, and energetic engineer with expertise in digital circuit design and verification to strengthen our software and hardware research and development team. You will be working as part of an international team with fellow software development engineers, as well as quality assurance, customer support, documentation, and product marketing engineers. Together we continuously strive to develop innovative products using the latest tools and technologies across different areas including Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. You will have the opportunity to responsibly lead projects that add significant new functionality and value to the products and further improve your personal and professional skills and knowledge.  You will be responsible for ensuring the overall functional quality of the newly released products/features on all required platforms. You will need to understand complex problems, solutions, and products, create, document, and execute software designs which may involve significant re-architecture of important systems, defining and coordinating implementation of wide-reaching impacts, etc. You will be acting as a technical lead of projects that span multiple areas of a product.

Required experiences: You’re a Graduate / Postgraduate (Bachelors/Masters/Ph.D.) in EEE)/ECE/Computer Science (CS) from top reputable Engineering colleges with significant experience in software development. Required work Experience – 10 to 15 years. Very good understanding of digital design and testing, Design-for-Test (DFT) techniques.

·       Proficient in C/C++ languages, Oriented object programming, Design patterns along with data structure and algorithms will be key required skills. Implement code, code reviews, and software integration.

Expertise in at least one scripting language (Knowledge in Tcl scripting language) Demonstrated strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills 

·       Provide innovative solutions to problems in the area of acknowledged expertise.

·       Use specialized knowledge to provide technical solutions.

·       Lead role in tool and environment projects.

Maintain and support current software tools.

·       Gather additional requirements from users and incorporate in tools when practical.

·       Ensure that resultant deliverable is consistent with design.

·       Ensure that appropriate code reviews and unit tests are performed.

·       Manage assigned projects including defining scope, plans, schedules, and deliverables.

·       Perform research to determine possible technical solutions to long-term technical issues.

Expertise in RTL languages (Verilog, System-Verilog, VHDL) will be required. Solid experience in RTL-to-RTL manipulation and introspection software (Parsing, Design Elaboration, Logic synthesis, Editing, Pre and Post  logic synthesis abstraction) User experiences in using the source code management GIT is appreciated. Good oral and written communication skills in English  Your ability to work with multi-functional teams will help in good crafting solutions that resolve actual customer issues. Self-reliance and work actively with members of the R&D team.

Additional experiences of advantage include:  Knowledge of Design-for-Test (DFT) in a subset of the following areas: Test compression, Logic Built-In Self-test, Scan DFT implementation, Memory Built-In Self-Test and Repair, memory and/or logic diagnosis, in-system testing, 2.5D/3D testing, standards like IEEE 1149.1, 1500, 1687, 1838, ISO 26262  Knowledge of EDA tools in some of these areas: HDL simulation, logic synthesis, integrated circuit (IC) place and route, timing analysis (STA), logic equivalence checking, CDC and RDC

The salary range for this position is $151,300 to $272,400 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.  Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees.
