Role Summary As a Sr. Software Engineer, you'll design and develop cutting-edge software for vehicle features with a focus on Infotainment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring innovative ideas from concept to reality. You'll own the algorithm development lifecycle, from architecture and implementation to testing and validation, ensuring robust and reliable performance. Responsibilities Design algorithms for application software for various vehicle features related to Infotainment. Collaborate with Functional Safety and Systems engineers to define vehicle, sub-system, and component requirements. Develop robust algorithms for vehicle systems from a clean sheet, including software architecture, implementation, integration, and testing. Define and implement software unit tests, HIL, and vehicle tests. Validate in-vehicle controller performance against functional requirements. Improve and deliver reliable software through continuous integration, automated testing, issue tracking, and code reviews. Participate in continuous improvement activities with key stakeholders and engineering groups. Coordinate and work with engineers across multiple disciplines to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks. Qualifications A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Software Engineering. Minimum of 3 years of experience in software engineering. Ability to develop and understand software from application level to base software. Highly experienced with programming and embedded systems; well-versed with software development and C programming. Technical understanding of electric vehicle architecture, including infotainment systems. Previous experience in automotive product development preferred. Experience using Vector tools (CAN/CANape, etc.). Experience with bus standards such as SPI, I2C, CAN, LIN, and Ethernet. Experience with automated requirements management tools (e.g., JAMA, Doors, etc.). Familiarity with issue tracking tools (Jira, Bugzilla, etc.). Proficient with version control tools (GitLab, GitHub). Ability to own tasks, decompose them into realizable deliverables, and work with other teams to coordinate execution. Execute individual responsibilities with minimal guidance. Ability to thrive under pressure and time constraints, applying creative and critical thinking to deliver exceptional results. Pay Disclosure Salary Range/Hourly Rate for Palo Alto, California Based Applicants: $146,900 - 189,600 USD (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law). Salary Range/Hourly Rate for California Based Applicants: $135,100 - 174,900 USD (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
