Your Impact:

At OpenText, we are looking at motivated highly passionate Core Java Backend Engineer with exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills and experience working with customers to resolve complex issues for OpenText Operations Bridge Manager (OBM), which is part of ITOM BU. The candidate must have the experience, talent, skill set and confidence to work with world-class development team at the OpenText office in Bengaluru, India.

 

OBM automatically discovers and monitors the IT infrastructure of an enterprise by collecting topology and event data. You can use event data to resolve infrastructure or service issues. Also, use the topology data to check the health and performance of the IT infrastructure. Operations Bridge Manager framework provides you with a single pane of glass to detect, correlate, solve, and prevent problems occurring in networks, systems, and applications.


What the role offers:

Own the critical modules of core products, develop & maintain high performance product to meet customer and architecture expectations in an ongoing basis.Utilize advanced debugging techniques to diagnose and resolve complex issues in customer environments. Developing an understanding of customer deployment environments & provide the technical implementation and corresponding unit testsWork closely with cross functional teams including QA, Product teams and Support to deliver high quality productsCollaborating with teams with diverse expertise to workProvide high quality defect fixes and new features.Provide rapid turnaround time for proof-of-concept implementations for feature validations and customer demosEnsure timely release of high-quality product patches/hotfixesContribute towards process improvement initiatives.Communicate high impact product issues and customer experiences to the development team to improve quality of future product releasesReview and evaluate designs to ensure long term adaptability and sustainability. Champion processes that ensure very high-quality product releasesEncourage and contribute to innovation aligned with the businessMentoring Junior members

What you need to succeed:

 

Bachelor's or Master's Engineering degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.5 – 8 years’ experience.Experience with debugging tools and profiling. Proven ability to work directly with customers to understand and address their technical issues.Strong troubleshooting, problem solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex customer problems with the ability to clearly communicate (both written & verbal) and share solutions with customer handling teams, development engineers, OT Support and customersExperience on software applications design tools and languages such as Core Java, Spring Boot with strong understanding of Object-Oriented programming, design concepts.Good understanding of version control systems, preferably git and experience with CI/CD toolsGood understanding of the database like Oracle, SQL Server etc..Good team playerGood understanding in AWS or any cloud management infrastructureExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience with agile development methods
