Sr. Software Engineer - Brand Experience, New Product Success
Description The New Product Success team builds solutions to help Brands overcome cold-start when launching new products on Amazon. This includes the Amazon Vine program, an end-to-end marketplace product that enables Brands to solicit insightful reviews about their products that customers shopping on Amazon can trust when making purchasing decisions. The Brand Experience organization is the growth and development engine for Brands in the Amazon Store. Our team builds products that delight and inform customers while fueling Brand growth. Our suite of tools enable Brands to tell their unique Brand and product stories, optimize content through statistical A/B experimentation, provide data and insights to grow their business, solicit and manage customer reviews as well as engage with our mutual customers through a variety of channels. As a Sr. SDE on the team, you will operate as a technical lead and drive the development of innovative and impactful solutions to support Brands around the world on Amazon. The ideal candidate will have a very strong customer focus coupled with a passion for continuous, data driven improvements. They should have a strong sense of ownership and a passion for delivering creative and simple solutions to complex problems. A commitment to mentoring, teamwork, agility, and strong communication skills are absolute requirements. Creating reliable, scalable, and high performance services requires exceptional technical expertise and a sound understanding of the fundamentals of Computer Science and large-scale distributed systems. You should be somebody who enjoys working on complex system software, is customer-centric, and feels strongly about building good software as well as making that software achieve its operational goals. Basic Qualifications - 7+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 7+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience - 7+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent Preferred Qualifications - 7+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience - Master's degree in computer science or equivalent Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
