Job Description Insight Global is looking for a Senior Software Engineer/Technical lead for a remote position. The company is headquartered in Baltimore, the ideal candidate is local to the DMV and is able to come to the office 2-3 a week. In this position, the candidate will be tasked with creating, developing, and maintaining software solutions designed to forecast and optimize distributed energy resource loads, thereby boosting market participation revenues. The candidate will collaborate with data scientists and analysts to develop predictive models and algorithms, and will implement and refine these for real-time data processing and analysis. By working with product and business teams, including key stakeholders, the candidate will identify customer and business challenges, create tests to validate hypotheses, and convert insights into technical solutions. Additionally, the candidate will document technical specifications, processes, and procedures, mentor and support junior engineers, and provide technical leadership. The candidate will lead technical discussions and decision-making processes, ensuring adherence to best practices in software development and architecture. Furthermore, the candidate will drive innovation and improvements in technology and processes and continuously monitor and enhance the performance of existing systems. Skills and Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or any related field At least 12+ years proven experience in software development and architecture with 3+ years in technical leadership role. 5+ years of experience with a focus on complex optimization and forecasting models and experience across the full machine learning lifecycle on Microsoft Azure, from data preparation and model training in Azure Machine Learning and Azure Databricks, to deployment and monitoring using Azure DevOps including CI/CD pipelines, Git Repos, Artifacts Repository Proven ability to design, develop, and implement robust and scalable cloud-native applications with microservices architecture using C# and .NET Core, including SQL Server database design, development, and optimization, along with extensive experience building and integrating RESTful web services. Strong skills as a team leader, with a passion for developing people and teams.
