CGI is seeking a senior solution architect to support US Global Technology Operations CSG opportunities. The qualified candidate will help drive and grow our business by participating in business development, proposal solution development, pricing development, as well as client presentations and thought leadership discussions
This position can be located at any CGI office in the U.S., preferred location is Birmingham, AL; Dallas, TX; Atlanta, GA; and Tempe, AZ however a hybrid working model is acceptable.
The senior solution architect will participate in the creation and evolution of CGI’s US GTO proposals and pricing as part of a cross functional team that extends across US CSG. This includes participating with the larger GTO team, the IP teams, CGI client-proximity Business Units, and our clients.
A successful team member will actively participate in the pre-sales and project delivery lifecycle. This includes requirements definition, proposal development/writing, technical solution creation, pricing, solution review and presentation, offering development, as well as participating in cloud risk assessments and client meetings which occur during the business development lifecycle. This role will also include participating in advisory services short term billable consulting projects that will help establish CGI as our client’s trusted advisor. Other key aspects of this role are pipeline management and compliance with CGI’s Business Engineering Management Framework which includes participation in the BU Step Reviews as required. The ability to represent and serve as the subject matter expert for GTO capabilities in the areas of on premises, data center, private & public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and cyber security managed services while providing technical depth and thought leadership throughout this process is the key to success.
The senior solution architect will communicate regularly with executive management, participate in client-facing meetings and be available as needed for ad hoc urgent pricing requests and client meetings.
Candidate must be able to communicate clearly and concisely while also delivering what might be perceived as negative messages in a diplomatic way.
Minimum Education Required: bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering, or a related field.
Ability to work independently, be a creative and forward-thinking individual, and provide as much foresight and advanced notice into potential risks which could negatively impact CGI.
Must have account and client management pre-sales experience with strong relationship-building skills and the ability to confidently negotiate on behalf of US GTO.
Candidate must have a strong knowledge of accounting and be extremely detail oriented with respect to financials and pricing assumptions.
Technical subject matter expertise and knowledge of internal GTO processes with relation to infrastructure (Compute, Network, Storage, Containers, Public Cloud, etc.) and software licensing will be key to success.

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $122,200 - $213,800.”
