The Sr. Solutions Architect - Infrastructure will assist SHI's customers in implementing data center infrastructure initiatives as they move towards modern data center solutions. This role involves designing and deploying enterprise infrastructure and platforms, providing upgrade and migration services, and ensuring seamless integration with existing systems. Additionally, the Sr. Solutions Architect – Infrastructure serves as a mentor to other consultants within the team.
This position is a remote position with Home Office setup as determined by SHI management.

Performs design and implementation work that may include architecture analysis and design, system migration and systems engineeringResponsible for the design and implementation of: Converged & hyperconverged solutionsStorage & SANDisaster recoveryServer virtualization & operationsBackup & ransomware resiliency solutionsServe as the technical lead and subject matter expert on projects and workshops, overseeing the work of others and being accountable for the outcome of the projectCollaborate with sales team in identifying and closing professional services opportunities through customer discovery and scoping meetings Configuration and upgrade services within our customers’ and partners environmentsServe as a mentor and provide guidance to other architects and consultants within the teamParticipate in pre-sales conversations, design, planning of services engagementsStay up to date and on top of top industry trends and offeringsProvide technical leadership and mentorship in a pre-sales and post-sales capacity to support successful understanding, evaluation and adoption of offeringsDemonstrate long-term thinking as it relates to our Infrastructure practice and customer engagements Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or a related field or equivalent work experienceMinimum 8-10 years of technical experience with increasing responsibilityMinimum 7 years’ experience working with infrastructure (blade chassis & servers, hypervisors, storage, storage fabrics, backup solutions, etc.) Thorough understanding of: virtualization technologies & software defined datacenter Required Skills Ability to design, build and implement equipment from the loading dock to production-readyAbility to define, design, build, and maintain systems and solutions leveraging systems and infrastructureStrong troubleshooting skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organizational and project management skillsStrong analytical and research skills Ability to guide other consultants within the teamStrong project time management and communication skillsConsultative approach to deploying enterprise architecturePassion for technology Certifications Required Expert level certifications in one or more infrastructure technology platforms (ex: VCP, VCDX, CCIE, VMCE) Unique Requirements Travel to client sites, up to 20%Ability to lift up to 50lb for equipment racking Additional Information The estimated annual pay range for this position is $160,000 - $220,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.
