**This position must be based out of Sacramento, CA** What are we looking for?As a Public Sector Solution Engineer, you will deal with the overall demonstration and design of SentinelOne’s solution to our state, local, and higher ed customers. Security pre-sales engineer with expertise in the anti-malware space preferred. We need a self-starter who excels in a high-paced, startup environment and thrives on pitching a revolutionary technology to architects, C-level executives, forensic engineers and security practitioners.
What will you do?
Work with sales partner(s) to develop territory and account strategies and campaigns Understand customer requirements as they relate to security architectures across data center, cloud, and enterprise environments Track and document aspects of the sales cycle including elements that are the primary responsibility of the Sales Engineer Lead Proof of concept/value engagements Prepare and lead technical presentations to explain to customers how the products and services work. Secure orders, guarantee product standards and assure product delivery. Recommend new and improved products to the customers and explain how the equipment will be more cost-effective. Active participant within the greater technical team sharing experience, best practices, etc. What skills and knowledge should you bring? 3 to 5 years experience in cyber security, preferably endpoint cyber defense. The drive to achieve mastery of all SentinelOne technologies. Demonstrable experience in objection handling and positioning against competitive technologies. Demonstrable experience speaking to both small and large audiences. Use concise written and oral communication skills to effectively lead business and technical presentations, demonstrations and conversations with both executives and technical audiences. Abilities to drive the Evaluation/POC process. Travel up to 50% possible. Nice to have Experience successfully selling or working in the public sector. Basic knowledge of hacking and exploitation tools and methodologies, detection evasion techniques, notable malware and anti-malware solutions and techniques. SIEM or Datalake experience.
