We are seeking a results-driven and experienced Sourcing Sr. Manager to lead and optimize our direct procurement strategies. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing key supplier relationships for raw materials, components, or products critical to our operations. Your goal will be to ensure the highest quality, cost efficiency, and supply continuity, contributing to the overall success of our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Ownership, Leadership & Execution:

Owns relationships with business units at all levels, acting as an integral part of project teams and driving end-to-end outcomes across multiple categories. Operates independently, managing project portfolios, planning work, and informing leadership of progress. Mentors and develops junior team members without formal leadership authority. Possesses strong emotional and intellectual intelligence to navigate complex situations, promote team success, and build the team’s brand. Executes decisions effectively, prioritizes tasks, eliminates roadblocks, and navigates formal and informal networks to drive results.

Strategic & Analytical Thinking:

Leads and analyzes high impact sourcing initiatives, delivering value and process improvements. Develops creative, data-driven solutions, effectively conveying complex information to senior audiences. Possesses advanced financial analytical skills to enhance value through negotiations. Identifies trends and improvement opportunities aligned with business objectives. Expert in problem-solving, root cause analysis, and concise messaging.

Sourcing Strategy & Supplier Management:

Develops and implements sourcing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and supply continuity. Analyzes market trends and supplier capabilities to identify opportunities. Builds and manages key supplier relationships, ensuring performance, compliance, and risk mitigation. Conducts regular supplier reviews and maintains contingency plans for critical supply needs.

Negotiation & Cost Management:

Negotiates contracts, pricing, and terms to maximize cost savings and value. Ensures compliance with legal, ethical, and regulatory standards. Tracks, analyzes, and reports on cost savings and budget performance. Drives procurement cost optimization without compromising quality.

Collaboration, Communication & Continuous Improvement:

Partners with internal teams (e.g., production, quality assurance, R&D) to align sourcing with business needs. Provides updates to senior management on sourcing performance and initiatives. Continuously improves sourcing processes, workflows, and tools for efficiency and scalability. Builds effective relationships, influences stakeholders, and fosters consensus. Communicates complex ideas clearly, tailoring messages to diverse audiences. Promotes sustainable and ethical sourcing practices. Learns and applies new tools and technology to enhance strategic sourcing capabilities.

Key Qualifications

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, procurement, operations, technology, or a related field. MBA or Master’s degree preferred. 5+ years of procurement or direct sourcing experience, preferably within [industry]. Strong track record in supplier management and cost-saving initiatives. Advanced certifications (e.g., CPM, CPSM, CPSC, PMP) preferred. Expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and financial analysis.
