A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Specialist, Process Engineer. 

Our Global Engineering Solutions (GES) team are hiring a Senior Specialist, Process Engineer supporting our Capital Project Portfolio.  You will primarily support the Large Molecule (Biologics/Vaccines/Sterile) Line of Business, and will also have opportunities to be exposed to multiple business areas.  Initial assignments will be based on a manufacturing site in Co. Louth to support an End to End Vaccines Drug Substance and Drug Product Project(s) Execution.

The Senior Specialist will participate in a high performing team and be responsible for implementation of capital project scope and technical studies that support our business objectives.  Reporting to a Technology Director or Assoc. Director, the Senior Specialist will demonstrate increasing degrees of responsibility to lead project deliverables across a portfolio of assigned scope.

Percent of travel: >30% for projects assignments outside of primary location. Travel and flexibility in project assignment location is required; assignments may require short term travel assignments

Bring energy, knowledge, innovation to carry out the following:

Leads process design efforts for capital projects, providing innovative solutions that meet business objectives.Collaborates with a team in the evaluation of alternative solutions and the development of project scope.Leads suite team/small project teams through preliminary designs, including P&ID development and HAZOP facilitation.Ensures that deliverables conform to our company standards and practices and are technically sound, including oversight of external engineering firm deliverables.Provides technical guidance during project implementation, including C&Q and post OQ, to realize designed assets. Liaises with other technical functions to ensure successful technology implementation for transfer of new and in-line products.Collaborates with contractors, suppliers and other team members in the execution of the work.

What skills you will need:

In order to excel in this role, you will more than likely have:

Bachelor of Science degree (or higher) in Engineering.Minimum 5 years experience in engineering, technology and/or manufacturing, preferably within Pharmaceutical/Biotech industry.Familiarity with engineering design principles and equipment lifecycle approach.Preference for exposure to Vaccine Manufacturing systems including Isolated Filling Line, Lyophilization, and single use DS unit operations.Familiarity with hygienic design principles.
