About the Role

In this role, you will report directly to the Sr. Manager, Technical Sales within the Customer Group.  You will Lead, manage, and track all aspects of pre and post-production sample and tooling ordering from the customer. You will be responsible for ensuring we are tracking and delivering orders on time, invoicing for the correct payment amount, and tracking payment receipts. You will be the main interface for the customer manufacturing and supplier portals, and provide appropriate details and updates as needed. This role is a key contact position for Harman with our customers and the expectation is to develop solid and long-term relationships to facilitate a smooth transition into the customer culture.


What You Will Do

Act as the main interface with local OEM manufacturing in the development process for new business programs across all Harman automotive business units.Own operations, pricing, and part number management for existing business within OEM environment.Reimbursement of Customer-Funded Samples, Tooling, Change RequestsPrepare quotations for production tooling reimbursed by the customer.Prepare and maintain accurate files to track customer-reimbursementsNegotiate reimbursement with the OEM customer and support the regional CBU teams with their negotiations.Received and processed customer purchase orders for prototype and service parts.Prepare monthly reports for CBU leadership and CA Finance.Submit the customer’s required documentation to receive reimbursement.Manage and own all aspects of the A/R report, ensuring all corporate targets are met.Prepare customer quotes within the scope of responsibility and authority.Participate in the development of business cases. Develop and implement systematic approaches to better serve external and internal customers.Work with global peers to develop improved processes to facilitate consistent processes globallyMonitor, Track, and respond to supplier portal to ensure timely support of Customer OrdersInterface with customer production control and purchasing organization departments to ensure timely P.O. deliveries.Effectively work with multiple functional areas within the company.Facilitate compliance with continuous improvement activities.Coordinate communications and activities with customer Supplier Portal.

What You Need

5+ years of related automotive work experienceBachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related fieldExcellent written and verbal communication skills, be comfortable to present technical concepts to a variety of audiencesHigh proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel: Must be able to work with pivot tablesData Base Management: Understanding how to properly create, structure, edit, and maintain a database environment to interact with Excel and Data Analytics SW Tools.An analytical approach to problem-solving, with the ability to look at data, recognize patterns, anomalies, and trends, and recognize their significance to the overall business.Ability to self-motivate with a focus on details under limited supervision.  Our business operates in a fast-paced global environment.  You will be a key member of the team and relied upon to proactively contribute to our overall successBe a team player!

What is Nice to Have

Working Knowledge of SAP, Salesforce, and other databases to be able to pull data to incorporate into reports or identify market trendsCritical thinking/Planning/Organizational skillsExperience with OEM’s or Tier1 suppliers

Salary Ranges:

$ 76,500 - $ 112,200
