Job Description:

This (on-site) Facilities Project Manager (Sr. Specialist) will be based out of the Brevard County, FL location.  Their primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage a wide range of L3Harris building and infrastrucure projects. Key duties will include negotiating with contractors and service providers, inspecting facilities to meet safety and regulatory compliance and managing building projects and renovations. They will collaborate with the Site Ops Manager, building inhabitants, onsite staff and contractors; using industry knowledge and skills to maintain all aspects of the building(s). Tasks include but not limited to:

Serve as the Project Manager for facility refurbishment, renovations and modernization. Owns the project process from concept through customer turnover.  Must have excellent communication and customer service skills.Partner with Procurement to solicit bids and manage outside vendors and contractors for services beyond the skill level of in-house maintenance employees; negotiate contracts for best value pricing, create SOWsWork with architects and design engineers to communicate project requirements and ensure code complianceEscort for Agency Inspections -- Fire Department, elevator, roof, sling & hoist, city inspectors, etc.Operate the CMMS / Work Order program at the site (PMs, trouble calls, energy mgmt. systems, etc.)Must have knowledge of construction processes, methods (design/build vs. lump sum), bidding, site operations & safety and scheduling.Must have knowledge of structural systems, mechanical systems, plumbing, HVAC and other building systems

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction mgmt. architecture, industrial engineering or other Facilities Management related fieldMinimum of six years previous supervisory/management experience Ability to effectively present information.Experience with drafting software: AutoCAD, Bluebeam etc.

Preferred Additional Skills:

Active security clearanceExperience with Secure Construction (ICD 705)Experience with Archibus or other move management softwareStrong project management and project execution skillsStrong verbal, written and presentation skillsStrong organizational and analytical skills.Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers.
