Position Summary

As a leader in free ad-supported TV (FAST) and video-on-demand (AVOD), Samsung TV Plus is the #1 free ad-supported app on Samsung Smart TVs, with over 3,000 ad-supported linear channels available across 30 territories and over 630M active devices, Samsung TV Plus is exclusively available across Samsung TV, Galaxy, Smart Monitor, and Family Hub lineups."The Merchandising team is seeking someone to own both day-to-day curation maintenance and large-scale strategic campaigns to maximize engagement, prioritize partnerships and execute on editorial tentpoles.
Role and Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Spearhead engaging merchandising campaigns; including sourcing creative, developing campaign briefs, campaign execution, and post-mortem analysis and documentation.Manage an offshore team trained in curation operations and asset management. Develop and maintain various exhibits and guides to ensure smooth workflows and independent work.Request, manage, review, and approve merchandising creative for banners and other key placements. Determine creative needs on monthly and quarterly basis, and manage workflow to ensure all creative is sourced, produced, QC’d, and ready in time for publishing. Evaluate how to most effectively merchandise content and events, and provide creative guidance to external partners and internal teams as applicable.Own day-to-day usage of internal curation/execution tool. Identify issues and escalate accordingly. Test new features and provide feedback. Submit requests for new/improved features as needed.Flex your curation expertise to curate new channels and content across the product as needed. Advise on placement and logic of programmatic/recommendation rows.Elevate content, channels, and topical events/opportunities via weekly hero banner merchandising.Maintain calendar/tracking exhibits to organize editorial opportunities.Audit incoming Kids content to ensure COPPA compliance and that appropriate ad tags are applied prior to curation.Escalate any content operations or curation issues identified by either offshore team or internal team to Manager, Content Planning & Merchandising and/or cross-functional teams as applicable. Monitor progress and ensure resolution in timely manner.Lead weekly meetings and perform miscellaneous tasks/projects as applicable.Skills and Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent related work experience required5+ years of programming/content curation experience, with 3+ years’ experience in Merchandising/Editorial role at FAST/AVOD/SVOD serviceDemonstrated strength in Microsoft Office Suite, especially ExcelUnderstanding of CMS and MAM systems, metadata, and Programmatic/AI/ML curation toolsProven experience developing and publishing creative to drive engagement and promote contentProven Merchandising/Promotional/Marketing campaign development, execution, and post-mortem evaluationBroad knowledge and passion for entertainment and pop culture, including movies, TV, music, and sportsExperience with kids programming a plusExperience with international programming a plusProven success with data-driven decision makingAirtable experience a plusExcellent collaborator with ability to work across a large organization and language barriers to drive resultsStrong work ethic and attention to detailAbility to overcome technical hurdles and re-prioritize tasks accordinglyCompensation for this role, for candidates based in Los Angeles, CA, is expected to be between $90,000 ~ $125,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
