Sr. Specialist, Operational Risk Management

Schwab Asset Management (SAM) is the asset management arm of the Charles Schwab Corporation. SAM delivers a wide variety of products including mutual funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), separately managed accounts (SMAs), and money market funds offered within and outside of Charles Schwab.  SAM team members exhibit our firm’s commitment to providing client-centric solutions that help Schwab clients achieve their financial goals.

SAM Business Unit Risk performs several key first line risk functions supporting the business including cyber security, business continuity, risk metrics, and risk oversight.  This junior level role will primarily be in support of our risk monitoring, cyber security and business continuity efforts including the following:

Building foundational relationships with key stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and senior team members to support the execution of risk and monitoring activities critical to SAM.Be an advocate for the usage of artificial intelligence (AI) tools by integrating those tools into existing workflows, helping the team focus less on redundant and repetitive tasks and more on analysis, insight and improvement.Support all areas of Business Unit Risk were asked upon including in areas such as metric reporting, business records, and business continuity testing.What you have

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree requiredExperience in BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), Excel, and SQL.Strong desire to develop and learn new financial and technical concepts and skillsAbility to solve complex problems with ambiguous or incomplete dataExcellent interpersonal skills and understanding of client service and peer group interactionsMicrosoft Office proficiency

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
