Essential Duties and Responsibilities. This section contains a list of primary responsibilities of the
work. The incumbent will perform other duties as assigned.
1. Import and export management. Liaise with shipping agent company and freight forwarder/carrier for
all import/export items. Classify the products by HS code, coordinate information and documentation
where required for timely and accurate Customs clearance in line with Indian Customs requirements.
2. Maintaining on customs mandatory compliances such as approving checklist, facilitating custom duty
payment, Letter of guarantee submission & release for testing shipments, responding to custom query
for all shipments.
3. Coordination with Carriers & custom clearance agent for clearance activity from port & tracking KPI to
measure performance.
4. Freight Audit & submission for both carrier & Clearance agent
5. Maintaining all the necessary record like Custom orders, Court orders, bill of entry & shipping bill to
support audit requirement.
6. Collaborating & supporting functions like BAXOL, Regulatory & Finance for Govt Tender, releasing
shipment from Drug Controller of India, statutory audit requirement
7. Support Regional & Global transportation team on annual freight contract process and coordinate with
freight forwarder/carrier for local operation setup prior to new contract.
8. Support financial team to update freight forwarder/carrier information in contract per assigned to align
Global policy as supplier setup/ maintenance, Taking No objection certificate for payment closure.
9. Manage transportation for delivery of inbound shipment till Baxter warehouse.
10. Coordinate with Baxter supply plant for credit note process, supporting Quality for raising SCAR &
DCAR for any proven damages.
11. Drive freight in and duty cost optimization opportunity. Support on budget inbound freight cost &
Customs duty and make cost variance analysis as required.
12. MIS for import & clearance to review vendors performance.
13. Reply to custom query post consulting with Custom consultant.
