Your day to day:Ownership of certain accounting functions (including month-end general ledger close, AP/AR maintenance and reconciliation, local and state tax filings and other activities).Managing daily and weekly cash functions, including payment preparation recording and reconciling of all bank accounts for 2 subsidiaries.Prepare GL expense account analysis and monthly expense accruals, deferred rent, and other relevant accounts as part of month-end close.Work closely with the Accounting Manager and Head of Finance in managing month-end and annual close processes.Prepare and review tax filings such as sales tax, property tax, business tax, business license and income tax.Partner cross-functionally in order to make improvements across all accounting processes (automating reconciliations, report preparation, and reviewing accounting transactions).Responsible for prepayments reconciliation and amortization.Perform miscellaneous expense accruals & provisions and cost allocations.Perform additional monthly finance and accounting responsibilities as assigned.Support financial compliance (Internal & External Audit, Controls, and Procedures).Support the financial close process in line with close schedule & deadlines (WD5)
What you bring:7+ years of accounting experience, preferably some experience within a Big 4 accounting firm background.Mix of both operational and technical accounting knowledge with emphasis on operational day to day accounting.Ability to understand systems and be able to streamline processes.A high level of proficiency with Excel.A high level of proficiency with NetSuite (or other ERP system).External and / or Internal audit experience.US GAAP and FASB regulations knowledge.Excellent analytical skills with ability to independently and efficiently research.Experience working independently within a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.Strong attention to detail and ability to research discrepancies and solve problems.Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, or Accounting desiredBenefits:Paid time offMedical, Dental, Vision insuranceHealth Savings Account (HSA)Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs)401(k) plan with matchingBasic life and AD&D
