The Sr. Staff Software Engineer is responsible for all stages of the software development lifecycle using a variety of technologies and tools to build impactful software solutions. The scope of this job includes building and optimizing comprehensive solutions that prioritize end-user efficiency and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and implementation of large-scale, complex software systems that increase high availability, scalability, and reliability.Lead cross-functional teams through all stages of development, from concept to deployment and post-launch monitoring.Collaborate with solution managers, designers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to define requirements and design technical solutions that align with business goals. Champion technical excellence and work to align engineering initiatives with WellSky strategy.Foster a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and high-quality software engineering practices by providing technical guidance to experienced engineers and leaders to elevate the team’s capabilities and skill sets.Lead efforts to drive the adoption of best practices across engineering teams, promote solution innovation, and research and evaluate new technologies, tools, AI capabilities, and methodologies that improve the efficiency, scalability, and performance of WellSky solutions.Influence the use of automated testing, continuous integration, and delivery (CI/CD) processes, and promote high standards of code quality, testing, and operational reliability.Perform other job duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experienceAt least 12-15 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficient in Python.Expertise with cloud computing platforms such as GCP, AWS, Azure.Expertise with NoSQL, GraphQL and asynchronous communication model.Experience with designing and deploying applications in cloud environment.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Experience in troubleshooting and debugging complex issues.Experience in domain driven and CQRS architectural patterns.Preferred experience in healthcare domain.Job Expectations:
