The Global Operations (GOPS) team, comprised of Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Installation, and Quality, is responsible for manufacturing our leading-edge technology. We partner with our world-wide supply base and our design engineering teams to bring new products to market. As a Sr. Strategic NPI Sourcing Manager at KLA you will be leading strategic supply chain management for our newest, groundbreaking products. At KLA, you will be working with industry leading Engineering, Science and Technology way beyond what is experienced in the everyday consumer marketplace.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Supplier selection followed by Contract and Cost negotiations
Work closely with Design engineers and Scientists to understand the request.
Scope out potential candidate suppliers in coordination with Category managers
Build detailed engagements to develop RFQ/P's from the suppliers followed by scorecards and executive presentations to drive the way we make decisions
Assess cost, quality, capability, capacity, financials etc. in order to orchestrate the selection
Negotiate contracts like Development or Purchase Agreements
Responsible for competitive bidding with alternate suppliers to support Cost negotiations
Maintain and grow the relationships with our Strategic suppliers. This whole process maps into the overall Strategic Supplier Strategy that you must develop for the new product that you will be assigned
Support staff with project management activities like tracking part deliveries and handling partner concerns on late deliveries
Support Engineers with quality or supplier development related activities to ensure that the suppliers are being responsive
This role is a hybrid role and requires physical presence in our Milpitas, CA office three (3) days a week with additional presence as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a related field of study
Minimum eight (8) years of relevant experience.
Experience with Supply Chain Management in any industry or Experience with Engineering/Supply Chain Management within the Semiconductor Capital Equipment industry
Must possess Technical (Engineering/Science/Technology) and Commercial aptitudes
The ability and desire to constantly learn is crucial
Domestic and international travel is required (up to 20%)
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree in a technical engineering field
Experience in Strategic Supply Chain Management in the Semiconductor Capital Equipment, Aerospace, Defense or Medical equipment industries
Any relevant certifications like PMP/CSCP/PE/Six Sigma etc.
Fluent in Foreign languages
Familiarity with ebeam technologies is a bonus
