This role will assist the Sr. Manager, Facility and Production Maintenance in developing and implementing departmental goals, timelines, preventative maintenance programs, safety, and quality programs as it relates to equipment and production efficiency. This position is an experienced maintenance supervisor with knowledge in all aspects of maintenance and equipment operation including troubleshooting, electrical, controls/PLC, mechanical, and process knowledge of the manufacturing operation. **HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE:** + Experienced in and has exceptional working knowledge of all aspects of maintenance and equipment operation including troubling shooting, electrical, controls/PLCs, mechanical, and process knowledge of the manufacturing operation. + Supervise personnel, the facility, and the equipment in a cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) environment with multiple sites & shifts. + Actively promote and maintain a safe work environment. Responsible for developing JSAs (Job Safety Analysis) and risk assessments for the maintenance department. + Support and maintain a PM/WO (Preventative Maintenance/Work Order) program for both buildings & equipment in a multi-site environment. + Help develop and implement predictive maintenance programs and strategies (vibration, temp, oil analysis, and continuous monitoring) on all critical equipment. + Help lead continuous improvement effort within department applying Lean, 5s, autonomous maintenance, and TPM methods to make improvements. Help support and train production team in support of the autonomous maintenance program. + Maintain, monitor, and recommend adequate spare parts to support operations. Ensure maintenance spare parts inventory is accurate and all spare parts are properly issued to WO and accounted for. + Assist the Engineering team with equipment installation and start up and the Validation Engineer with the implementation of IQ/OQ (Installation Qualification/Operation Qualificationfor equipment installation. + Interact with Production, Quality, and Planning groups daily to assure production schedules are met or exceeded. + Responsible for the day-to-day shift operations of the maintenance team by ensuring open communication, workload is properly distributed and completed, and everyone is working together as a team. + Develop the team by regularly conducting one on one meetings and ensuring two-way communication with team to lead performance. Establish goals for team in concert with corporate business objectives and plant strategies. + Ensure staff is properly trained & competent in all the technical aspects of their positions by developing individual training programs to assure improvement of their competencies. + Ensure that overtime is equally distributed within the team! + Communicate company and departmental goals and objectives (both written and verbal) assuring that these understood. Communication to take place in Build it Better meetings, pass downs, planning meetings, and staff meetings. + Complete and maintain all necessary documentation including applicable cGMP, Confined Space, Hot Work, PFS Toolbox, and training documents. Develop, revise, and document departmental standard operational procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and expectations. + Make recommendations as related to: hiring decisions, performance ratings, disciplinary actions, and/or resolution of complaints in accordance with company policies. + Contribute to the development of the department budget; monitor and maintain expenditures to ensure a cost-efficient operation. Identify and delegate cost reduction projects + Create “A Great Place to Work” culture within team and through interactions with other departments and personnel. Create a positive, inclusive team atmosphere with all departments within the plant. Recognized numerous times as a top workplace in Orange County. **SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Leads a team of Maintenance Mechanics on their shift. **Qualifications** **SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:** **Skills:** + Display and possess exceptional mechanical & electrical aptitude. + Strong troubleshooting ability + Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal + Excellent organization and analytical skills + Understanding of PLC functionality. + Strong coaching and employee development skills + Proven experience building and leading teams and developing personnel. + Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. + Effective manage time and competing priorities. + Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite + Safety experience or experience working on a safety committee. + Ability to safely lift a minimum of 50lbs. **Experience:** + 7+ years maintenance experience + 5+ years supervisory experience in a Maintenance and Engineering environment with 3 years’ of the experience in a direct supervisory role in a cGMP or food manufacturing/processing environment + 5+ years PLC experience with ability to train. + Demonstrated ability to excel in a fast pace, results driven environment. **Education:** • 2-year technical degree from accredited institution or equivalent in experience **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:** + Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Engineering **PHYSICAL DEMANDS:** In general, the following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
