Job Description
As a Survey CAD Technician, you will support office and field staff by processing incoming information and producing final land surveying project deliverables. You will be responsible for processing data utilizing SAM standards, ensuring compliance with applicable land survey project and industry principles under the direction of your supervisor. Additionally, you will monitor field crew production and quality assurance, prepare survey plats and drawings, legal descriptions, and alignment drawings, and perform quality control checks on plats, drawings, and deliverables prepared by other technicians. This role requires coordination with your supervisor to ensure client-specific demands are being met.
ResponsibilitiesSupport office and field staff by processing incoming information and producing final land surveying project deliverables.Process data utilizing SAM standards, ensuring compliance with applicable land survey project and industry principles.Monitor field crew production and quality assurance.Prepare survey plats and drawings, legal descriptions, and alignment drawings.Perform quality control checks on plats, drawings, and deliverables prepared by other technicians.Coordinate with supervisor to ensure client-specific demands are being met.Essential Skills10+ years of field and office experience in route survey projects, boundary analysis, DTM projects, and construction layout and data processing.Strong computer and technical skills.Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with MicroStation is a plus.Proficiency in technical math; Geometry and Trigonometry are a plus.Familiarity with GIS platforms is a plus.S.I.T. Certification is a plus.Work Environment
The work environment is relaxed and laid back, with an expectation for everyone to work independently. The office is located on Phillips Hwy. Initially, there is no remote work allowed, but hybrid work schedules will be permitted after six months. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
