Job Description

The North America Client Testing & Solution Engineering team is looking for a Sr. Software Test Engineer to join a team of passionate professionals developing innovative products on the Debit, Prepaid, Risk, Dispute & Value-Added Services of Visa. The person in this position will be responsible for qualifying features developed by cross functional teams, developing test plans and test cases mapping to product requirements, documenting end user scenarios, detecting and reporting UI, API, and system wide issues, participating in triaging defects, automating test cases, and preparing test reports.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and execute test plans and test cases during the release cyclesWork collaboratively with a cross-functional team of software engineers and product ownersLog software defects using a bug tracking system and report themMonitor bug resolution efforts and track them to closureDevelop and enhance test automation frameworks and test casesDocument and communicate manual and automated release testing results in a timely and effective mannerSupport cross-functional teams in integration test effortsSetup, configure and maintain test environments

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)Proficiency with functional and end to end testing of APIs & UIExperience building and executing tests with ReadyAPI, Postman etc.Experience with Agile & Waterfall methodologies and tools like Jira, RallyHands on experience working with IDEs - IntelliJ, Eclipse etc.Experience with TDD/BDD frameworks, Karate, Cucumber or similar automation toolsExperience with distributed version control systems like Git and build tools like MavenStrong troubleshooting, problem solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)Excellent coding skills in Java or JavaScriptExperience with developing test automation into a continuous integration and execution model with tools like JenkinsExperience with UI automation using tools such as Selenium or CypressHands-on experience working with SQL/NoSQL database testingWillingness to learn new technologies to stay up to date in this rapidly changing industryAbility to handle disruptions, prioritize and pivot with grace

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 83,300.00 to 117,750.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
