CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. System Administrator to work with a skilled and motivated team of professionals on a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) contract supporting multiple programs at Headquarters.
This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. You will be required to be in our Fairfax, VA office two days per week.
• In this role, you will support multiple Agile teams and you will be responsible for technical support for Linux based systems in a cloud environment
• Implement security measures in accordance with DHS policies and procedures
• Perform regular system administration tasks, including backups and restores
• Develop and maintain system documentation and operational procedures
• Effective communication with federal clients and other contractors
Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required as well as successful passing of CGI background check prior to beginning work. In addition, candidates must have ability to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD Public Trust clearance.
• Expertise with building, maintaining and upgrading Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems
• DevSecOps frameworks
• Scripting (BASH, Python, etc.)
• Automation (Puppet, Ansible, etc.)
• STIGs, implementation, review and remediation
• Monthly patching of servers
• AWS experience (EC2, S3, RDS, Lamdas)
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
• Drupal 8 CLI experience
• Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Swarm)
• Terraform scripting
• Git experience (Management, Code, Builds)
• Atlassian platform (Jira and Confluence)
• Experience with Akamai or comparable CDN
• Additionally, experience with Amazon Web Services and support of essential DHS systems is desired. You will be expected to participate in Agile ceremonies, experience working on an Agile team is a preferred.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $78,400.00 - $190,900.00.
