Sr. System Design Specialist II

Job Summary:

As the Sr. System Design Specialist I – People Systems Security, you will be responsible for the security administration of Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM and Learning Pool platforms, ensuring compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) regulations. This role requires leveraging technical expertise to manage platform security configurations, collaborate with the Cybersecurity team for monitoring and incident response, and maintain compliance documentation. The position also focuses on driving security automation using ServiceNow and optimizing administrative efforts by leveraging Active Directory security groups.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Platform Security Administration

Manage user roles, permissions, and security configurations in Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM and Learning Pool. Troubleshoot and resolve security-related issues within the platforms. Collaborate with HR and IT teams to ensure secure and efficient onboarding/offboarding workflows. Periodically review and update platform security settings to align with compliance and business needs.

2. Security Automation and Optimization

Develop and implement security automation processes using ServiceNow to streamline administrative efforts. Leverage Active Directory security groups to reduce manual role management and improve access management efficiency. Identify and implement opportunities for further automation and optimization of platform security processes.

3. SOX Compliance

Develop, implement, and maintain security controls in line with SOX requirements. Assist internal and external auditors with SOX compliance assessments by providing requested evidence. Document compliance processes and maintain up-to-date records for SOX reporting. Address and remediate identified compliance gaps in a timely manner.

4. Collaboration with Cybersecurity

Ensure logs from Oracle and Learning Pool are available for Cybersecurity team monitoring. Collaborate with the Cybersecurity team to create and maintain run books for incident response. Act as a liaison to align platform security with enterprise-wide security standards. Support Cybersecurity in identifying and mitigating platform-specific vulnerabilities.

5. Continuous Improvement & Documentation

Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for platform security configurations and compliance processes. Identify opportunities to improve security practices and procedures. Provide guidance and training to end-users on security protocols and compliance requirements.  

Job Requirements:

Knowledge & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience. At least 5 years of experience in platform security administration and compliance. Proficiency in Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM security configurations. Experience supporting SOX compliance in a corporate environment. Familiarity with Learning Pool or other Learning Management Systems is preferred.

Technical Expertise

Strong knowledge of role-based access control (RBAC) and platform security best practices. Experience with security automation tools, particularly ServiceNow workflows and integrations. Expertise in leveraging Active Directory security groups to simplify access management. Ability to document security processes and support compliance audits. Experience working with Cybersecurity teams to support incident response and monitoring efforts.

Soft Skills

Independent problem-solving with minimal guidance on most assignments. Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders effectively. Ability to influence others regarding practices and procedures.

Salary Range: $130,400 to $153,400 annually + bonus eligibility. This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.
