Title: Sr. Systems Engineer (React Development) Duties: The Sr. Systems Engineer (React Development) will lead the effort to modernize our commercial portfolio. You will build and maintain web applications that span retail, commercial, and international eCommerce areas. You will also develop and implement features in line with business requirements, ensuring a robust and maintainable codebase. Additional responsibilities will include advocating for engineering-specific goals and priorities promoting cross-product code reuse and automate processes to enhance developer experience; and writing concise and maintainable code, always looking for ways to simplify complexity. As a Sr. Systems Engineer, you will engage in code reviews, offering constructive feedback to enhance code quality and mentor and provide guidance to junior and mid-level engineers. Requirements: Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related and 8 years of experience in front end development, including: + Developing web applications using React, HTML, CSS, Java, JavaScript and TypeScript + Agile processes and Scrum framework + React using hooks, context, and state management + Git, GitLab, and GitHub + At least 2 years of + Utilizing mock service workers or end-to-end tests with tools including Cypress, Playwright, Vitest + Git flow branching strategies, code review commenting, and code rebasing + Next.js 13 for server-rendering and static site generation + ESLint/Prettier for enforcing code quality and consistency + TanStack, specifically using React Query for asynchronous requests and caching + Web-accessibility standards, including application of WAI-ARIA practices and testing with accessibility tools
