Sr. Systems Sales Engineer

This team is dedicated to providing innovative infrastructure storage solutions while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning. The mission of the Systems Engineering team is to support the organization in advancing towards AI and native technologies, ensuring they remain at the forefront of the industry and address evolving customer needs effectively. You will report to a Senior Manager, Systems Engineering, who is known for their supportive and empowering leadership style, encouraging team autonomy while providing guidance when needed. The role will operate in a hybrid work environment, with an expectation to be in the office a few days a week as determined by business needs, allowing for flexibility while promoting teamwork and communication. This position requires a travel commitment that starts at around 25%, with the potential for increased travel depending on sales success. As you establish and strengthen relationships with clients, travel could grow to 50-60%, presenting opportunities to expand your professional network and contribute to the team's objectives. **Your Role** + Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including C-suite executives, to understand their technical needs and align solutions accordingly. + Collaborate closely with the sales team to execute strategic account plans, driving revenue growth and expanding the customer base. + Utilize technical expertise in infrastructure storage, AI, and cloud technologies to deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations to prospective clients. + Manage proof-of-concept (POC) projects that showcase the company’s solutions and value propositions to clients. + Stay updated on industry trends and competitors to identify potential opportunities for innovation and differentiation in product offerings. + Actively engage in continuous learning to enhance technical skills and knowledge in relevant tools and technologies. + Travel as needed to meet clients, conduct presentations, and support business development activities, with an expected travel commitment of 25-50%. + Set and achieve measurable first-year sales targets and objectives, contributing to overall team success and performance metrics. **What You Will Bring** + 5-10 years of experience in systems engineering or related field. + Strong background in infrastructure storage technologies. + Familiarity with AI and native technologies. + Experience with Kubernetes, Ansible, and Terraform. + Proven ability to work autonomously and manage a territory effectively. + Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to lead conversations confidently. + Track record of building and nurturing relationships with enterprise-level clients. + Ability to proactively upskill and adapt to changing technologies. The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $195,920 and USD 293,880 per year. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. There is no specific in-office requirement, however, there may be circumstances where you may be required to come into a local office for a specific purpose, and/or to travel to other locations based on business needs.
