Sr. Technical Advisor

POSITIION DESCRIPTION

As a Sr. Technical Advisor in Saudi Technology Center, as a part of the Olefins group of the Technology Business Unit, you will be part of a process engineering team to provide plant technical lifecycle support from Basic engineering to plant operation, including site services and technical solution, meet directly with the client, handle interdisciplinary meetings and information transfer and provides licensee feedback to improve KBR Olefins technology. Your work will involve conventional engineering and operation practice but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design and operation requirements, and difficult coordination requirements. Must be willing and available to travel domestic and international including site base assignment, as needed

            

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Chemical Engineering requiredMinimum of 10+ yrs CURRENT experience in Olefins Process design, optimization and/or operation, with average experience of 20+ yrs experienceDesign or operations background in Ethylene is preferred; experience in other Petrochemical processes is a plusHigh level of proficiency in using process design simulation software (i.e. Aspen, PROII, etc.) to develop new or revamp designs requiredExperience in application of advanced process design techniques to develop and optimize process designs is a plusProficiency in conceptual development of process designs, basic economic evaluations, Process Flow Diagrams, equipment capacity evaluation and specification requiredAbility to provide supervision to less experience engineers requiredAbility to develop new engineering ideas and concepts neededStrong English verbal, writing and reading communication skills requiredMust have the ability to clearly convey technical concepts and principles in both verbal and written communications to clients, peers and KBR management Must be willing and available to travel domestic and international, as needed
