At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Technical Editor Senior, you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on Technical Editor Senior joining our team to research, prepare, and edit technical and graphic documentation for a variety of systems and platforms.
HOW A TECHNICAL EDITOR SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Writing & Editing Support
Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and conforms to client-specific style, tone, and document layout standards.Create standardized stylesheets and templates with uniform fonts, tables, figures/graphics to establish common programmatic deliverablesConduct technical edits on existing legacy documentation, correcting any contextual issues, content organization, or formatting errors.Process Documentation & Improvement
Develop process, procedure, and work instruction documentation for projects while collaborating with project leads and management.Create and edit easy-to-understand user guides/job aids to help end-users operate a variety of applications or documentation repositories.Review existing processes and offer expert recommendations for process improvements, streamlined workflows, and simplified procedures.Capture requirements for workflow automation and/or software development.Deliverable Management
Collaborate with GDIT programs and TSS service delivery lines to obtain an in-depth understanding of products or services and documentation requirements.Clearly define documentation project scope and monitor project schedule until completion and approval.Create custom frameworks that define how business processes are designed, executed, monitored, and improved.Create and maintain documentation repositories.Participates in special projects as required.
