General Summary:
Qualcomm is seeking for a senior marketing manager with program management and/or business development experience in PC OEMs/ODMs to drive various form factors of PC product commercialization. We anticipate that the successful candidate shall have solid PC system-wise technical background and deep involvement in critical phases of PC commercialization, such as defining compute product proposition, conducting product cost and competition analysis, driving new technology/ platform adoption, trouble shooting, engaging product’s go-to-market activities, etc. In addition, this job necessitates strong connections with ecosystem partners in the PC industry, professional communication and presentation skills.
Responsibilities include:
Identify/ develop business opportunities with OEMs and Qualcomm global teams via complex analysis of markets, customers, technologies, ecosystem demands in order to guide product planning and design conversations with customers/ partners
Lead team collaboration in the creation, validation, and confirmation of business cases for product development with given appropriate business direction and aligned company strategies, which could include to create Compute’s Proof-of-Concept (PoC)/ reference design.
Perform program management for PoC projects and coordinate with cross-function/-region teams and external stakeholders to achieve milestone and ultimate goal settings
Market new and complex compute platforms and technologies through technical marketing opportunities, such as customer meetings, conferences, and persuade customers to drives product portfolio and innovation alignment with Qualcomm's platform, technologies, and support efforts
Align and scale OEMs product portfolios with Snapdragon Compute platforms and solutions, facilitate to kick off engineering supports, and bridge feature discrepancy
Oversee customer product development cycle and support to address newly added feature analysis and bridge gap with relevant teams
Translate customer feedback and external environment situations into potential change suggestions for internal platform roadmap and priorities, and well communicate this to senior leaders.
Collaborate across sales, product management, go-to-market, and headquarter marketing organizations to execute demand creation strategy across boards, and actively support marketing campaigns and activities with PR/Marketing/BD and OEM teams as joint efforts
Initiate/ develop strategic relationship with ecosystem partners and their key decision makers / influencers for strengthening Windows-on-Snapdragon ecosystem, aligned with Qualcomm strategic objectives
Keep up-to-date knowledge of Qualcomm products and value proposition, and provide persuasive presentations to customers and partners to implement product positioning strategies
Collect and analyze market intelligence and trends for business development, product planning and design, counter plan development, KPI settings, etc.
Organize workshops for customers or external partners to proactively drive business targets, and lead relevant taskforces across function and region teams to promote and lift Snapdragon Compute branding awareness and technology value proposition
Support cross-country Qualcomm teams to achieve common business goals
Preferred Qualifications:
10+ years of product management, product marketing, technical marketing, or related work experience in PC industry
3+ years of working in a large matrixed and global organization
Familiarity with major PC OEMs' product planning and development processes
Broad and good networking with major PC OEMs/ODMs in Taiwan
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.OR
Associate's degree or equivalent degree and 6+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.
OR
High school Diploma or equivalent and 8+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.
*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.
