Amazon is seeking an innovative and high-judgment Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead our Personalization Privacy program and related initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of Amazon's commitment to delivering unique, personalized customer experiences and our dedication to protecting customer privacy. The Senior TPM will drive technical innovation to ensure compliance with high-impact privacy regulations while enabling deeply personalized experiences across Amazon touch-points.
Key job responsibilities
1. Act as the subject matter expert (SME) on how Amazon systems process customer personal data to deliver personalized experiences, balancing innovation with privacy protection.
2. Drive implementation of technical tasks for privacy-preserving personalization, monitoring dependencies and reporting key risks, issues, and blockers.
3. Contribute to the strategic direction for Amazon's privacy practices in personalization, building and owning the compliance approach for regulations such as GDPR, DMA, and emerging privacy laws.
4. Partner with senior engineers to map the origination, augmentation, and destinations of customer data across personalization systems, ensuring data minimization and purpose limitation.
5. Oversee scoping and funding of technical resources required to deliver privacy-centric personalization across teams.
6. Set a comprehensive program portfolio to deliver an ambitious 3+ year vision of technical innovation in privacy-preserving personalization.
7. Engage with Principal Engineers, Engineering Managers, and PMTs to reach decisions on hotly debated technical topics related to personalization and privacy.
8. Hold partner engineering teams accountable for setting and delivering ambitious goals that improve competitive personalization practices while maintaining privacy standards.
9. Identify inter-system dependencies in personalization data flows and align on then monitor paths to address them in a privacy-compliant manner.
10. Participate in quarterly business reviews and goal updates, representing privacy-centric personalization initiatives.
