Sr. Technical Writer

The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Sr. Technical Writer to support our government customer at Fort Sam Houston, Texas.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides reporting capability and data analysis utilizing data from the Extremity Trauma and Amputation Center of Excellence-Registry (EACE-R) and Department of Defense Trauma Registry/Military Orthopaedic Trauma Registry (DoDTR/MOTR).Run queries on the EACE-Registry data. Produce standard weekly and monthly reports on the EACE’s population of interest. Respond to ad hoc data requests for information as approved by the EACE Director.Extract, manipulate, analyze and array data for easy understanding.Develop, modify, or provide input to data analytics project plans, and implements project plans to meet or exceed objectives.Run periodic integrity checks and analyze results to identify areas to address which serves to ensure data is accurate.Identify gaps in data comparisons between the databases.Provide presentations or briefings on all aspects of the data analysisMaintain analytics project SharePoint libraries providing versioning and historical background on project-related documents.Implement or maintain quality control processes with the goal of maintaining high fidelity data in the databases.Make improvements, solve problems, or take corrective action when problems arise.Adhere to applicable data information and data release standard operating procedures.Provide analytic support and coaching with clinical community customers to more completely identify the appropriate data elements to answer the research question or performance improvement queries.Manage all access requests and coordinate with leadership for approval.

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

Bachelor of Journalism

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Experience in the Joint Trauma System of the US Army and DOD programsDevelop and maintain user literature for JTS registries and applications. Develop and maintain fillable digital forms for JTS use and patient injury and care data collection.Edit, format and prepare Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPGs) and course materials for publication. Develop infographics for CPGs and other JTS products.Serve as JTS web master, including developing and maintaining updated content.Support the ISSM with Authority to Operate activities; certified to use eMASS system. Serve as a DHA Records Liaison.Maintain the CPG application/repository (JTS Manager) for CPGs.Advise JTS on effective document development processes and management techniques.Collaborate with JTS teams to develop best practices and lessons learned.Develop standard operating procedures. Create figures, charts, graphs and other visuals for CPGs, the website and publications. Assist the Performance Improvement team to track and manage CPGs and special publications.Edit, format and prepare training literature for publication. Edit, format and prepare presentations and lectures for global audiences.Develop content for the quarterly JTS newsletter. Design, produce and publish the newsletter and other special literature. Develop JTS branding and marketing literature; helped create the new JTS seal.Route documents for PAO/OPSEC approval (DHA and MRMC).Assist with social media and marketing effortsReview final products for quality control and branding consistency

Currently have a NACI background investigation or able to obtain and maintain.Must Be a U.S. Citizen.
