ResponsibilitiesPOSITION SUMMARY:
We are currently hiring a Sr. Technician to support our global software client onsite in Boise, ID. This role is technical in nature and the ideal candidate would benefit from experience in an ever-evolving R&D team culture. In this role, you will be providing engineering technician services supporting our clients’ R&D LaserJet development activities. This is a full-time, long-term position with day shift available working at the client-site with a Monday through Friday work week.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Conducting both mechanical and electrical support functions to assist with engineering and test activities.Supporting fabrication of mechanical parts/test fixtures, electrical design, repairs, and design modifications.Conducting operational tests and failure analysis, as well as test verification of product specs.Performing HW/FW upgrades.Reporting, distribution, and tracking of assigned work and testing.Analyzing printer failures and troubleshoot to root cause.Perform additional duties as assigned. QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
In-depth knowledge of electrical/electronic circuitry and mechanical/electromechanical devices. Ability to troubleshoot to the board/sub-assembly/component level.Strong mechanical skills.Working technical knowledge of scripting codes and tools.Demonstrated ability to design simple electrical circuits and test fixtures.A strong understanding of Operating systems and Firmware.Experience working with a variety of test equipment including oscilloscopes, data acquisition, thermal imaging and video capture.Intermediate PC skills with emphasis on Microsoft Windows and software suites (i.e., MS Excel, MSWord, Outlook).A strong “Can Do” attitude, with excellent initiative, ability to learn quickly, follows directions and thrives in a work environment that changes frequently.Ability to lift 50lbs and move equipment around as needed.Excellent organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written).A minimum of 2 year technical degree (or equivalent) in Electronics/Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is required. Education requirements can be waived/reduced depending on skillset, industry standard certifications or other related industry work experience.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

A competitive pay range of $19.50-$21/hr (dependent on relevant experience).10 days per year of Paid Time Off (PTO).8 paid holidays per year (which includes 1 personal floating holiday). 401(k) retirement plan with company match.
