Sr. Trade Analytics & Reporting Analyst

The Trade Analytics & Reporting Senior Analyst is supports high-impact, cross-functional projects for the Trade Department at Carnival Cruise Line. This role independently identifies, develops and creates report automation solutions. The Senior Analyst extracts data from multiple databases, consolidates results, updates dashboards and provides analysis on various data sets. Additionally, the Senior Analyst collaborates and leads engagements with key inter-departmental functional areas such as Business Intelligence, IT, Revenue Management, Trade Support, Marketing and Reservations.

Essential Functions:

Acts as the technical subject matter expert for team Analysts. Maintains expertise in database/reporting applications (SQL, SAS, SSRS). Identifies, develops and implements recommendations to increase report automation and efficiency. Collaborating with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders, leads engagement and business requirements between the Business Intelligence (BI) team, IT, and the Trade Department to enhance Trade reporting autonomy. Supports end-to-end projects across various Trade Department categories. Gains in-depth understanding of Trade operations to develop performance reporting tools. Regularly communicates business trends, opportunities and risks to upper management. Monitors the Trade Sales reporting mailbox. Provides daily reports on key performance metrics for Travel Agencies and addresses time sensitive adhoc reporting requests from the Trade Strategy and Operations team. Extracts and consolidates data from multiple databases, highlighting trends to support decision making. Supports all phases of creating Travel Agency presentations for the sales team (quarterly, mid-year, end of year), including planning, content creation, design, communication, and follow up. These presentations offer valuable insights into agency performance across various metrics, compare performance to peer groups, show historical trends, forecast current year compensation, and present the following year’s compensation package.                                                                                       

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, in Business, Economics or related field.  Certifications in HR, L&D or Project management are advantageous. MBA preferred. A minimum of 5 years of experience in analytics, project management, and/or database management Advanced Microsoft Office products skill, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams; proficiency in other role-relevant technologies, tools, software and applications such as, Project Management software, SAS, SQL developer, Hyperion Interactive Reporting, required to successfully perform in this role. Hands-on experience creating and implementing report automation solutions and extracting data from database application systems such as SAS, SQL developer or Hyperion. Cruise, Hospitality and/or Tourism industry experience a plus.

Exceptional Communication: Superb verbal and written communication skills for engaging with stakeholders at all levels, articulating the impact of initiatives and explaining concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Project Management: Experience managing complex projects from inception to completion.  Prioritization: Ability to identify, prioritize, and articulate the highest[1]impact initiatives  Compliance and Legal: Understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.  Motivation: Inner drive to achieve goals, maintain a positive attitude, and inspire others. Social Skills: Proficiency in managing relationships, building networks, and navigating social complexities in the workplace.  Standard Position-related Skills: Exceptional critical thinking, innovative reasoning, organizational, time management, and adaptability skills to effectively manage changing priorities with a high level of quality. This position requires the use and exercise of independent judgement.

Physical Demands:  Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time. 

Travel: 0- 25% with shipboard/shoreside travel likely

Work Conditions:  Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. 

This position is classified as “in-office.”  As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida Tuesday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their homes on Mondays and Fridays.  Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.
