Sr. Unix Administrator

 

Core Requirements:

 

Role Description:

• Support / Manage and Install Redhat based Linux systems.
• Troubleshooting support and system performance issues.
• Handling of trouble tickets, user requests, proactive maintenance.
• Support weekend BCP / DR tests.
• Assisting application teams in post-configuration of new servers deployed.
• Candidate should have a good understanding of ITIL and Change management policies.

Skills:

• Deep understanding of Redhat Linux OS, Cloud and associated tools.
• Redhat Satellite, Ansible Automation, Kubernetes, Docker.
• DNS, NTP, LDAP, Kerberos.
• Strong understanding of Virtual (VMware) and physical networking configuration.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot issues and provide resolution.
• Knowledge of Redhat LVM, Redhat Clustering, veritas product including veritas volume manager, Cluster server OR experience with Redhat Clustering.
• Python and Bash scripting is preferred.
