What you'll be doing
As a member of CIBC’s Digital UX Research team, the Sr. User Experience Researcher is responsible for contributing to the user experience of CIBC’s digital properties. In this role you'll use a variety of UX research techniques in collaboration with other members of the UX Research Team, UX Designers, Product Owners and Strategists to help improve CIBC’s digital properties. Furthermore, you will assist in recording and summarizing research findings and presenting the analysis in compelling formats that are easy to understand and act on.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
How you will succeed
User Research and Testing: You will lead generative and evaluative user research using a variety of methods in collaboration with other user researchers (interviews, surveys, usability testing, card sorting, analytics analysis).
Data Analysis, Interpretation and Presentation: You will analyze qualitative and quantitative data to generate insights and recommendations. You will lead the planning, execution, analysis and presentation of studies to various stakeholders.
Stakeholder Management: You will manage complex project requirements and challenging stakeholders, going beyond delivering studies that are requested to proactively identifying high value research opportunities that add value to our stakeholders.
Administration and Teamwork: You'll contribute to research operations to maintain and grow the UX research capability. You may also coach more junior researchers.
Who you are
You are a certified professional, you have a degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Cognitive Science, Information Studies, Anthropology, or a related field.
You can demonstrate 3 years of work experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods in the areas of survey, interviews, usability testing, observational studies, etc. You have strong critical thinking, organizational and problem-solving skills combined with strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
