As a Healthcare User Interface/Visual Design professional, you will collaborate with our global Siemens Healthineers Design System UX team, contributing to qualitative design improvements and further development. You will be part of a dynamic, diverse, and innovative global experience design team, committed to improving healthcare through the power of design
Your tasks and responsibilities: In this role, you will be responsible for creating the visual design of components, maintaining the design library in Figma, and ensuring consistency within the design system. You will also create detailed specifications for development and collaborate with the team to bring design patterns to life Working alongside a highly dedicated team of exceptional designers and developers, you will continuously elevate the quality of our Shui® design system, maintaining and expanding the component library while developing sophisticated visual design concepts Ensure that the visuals you design are accessible to users with different abilities, considering factors such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, and color contrast. You will contribute to a wide range of healthcare projects, including web, mobile applications, VR, AI technologies and digital platforms. Your focus will be on developing visual design patterns that improve the productivity and efficiency of clinical applications, supporting key workflows for multidisciplinary care teams You will empower UX designers to create our exciting product range, which spans various touchpoints and serves healthcare professionals and patients worldwide You will collaborate with cross-functional UX teams and hubs, fostering a culture of community practice, while actively contributing to and learning from these shared rituals
Your qualifications and experience Bachelor's or Master's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication Design, Media Design, User Interface Design, or a related field, with exceptional visual expertise A strong portfolio demonstrating your visual design craftsmanship and problem-solving skills within a design system context 7+ years of professional experience in an agency or in-house UX team, with a substantial digital-focused portfolio. Experience in the medical technology field is a plus Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Photoshop, and Illustrator, along with extensive knowledge of utilizing variables and tokens to develop a design system
Your attributes and skills • Proficient in visual design skills, including form, color theory, typography, and sketching ( both hand and digital ) • Experience with Prototyping, Animation, and Motion Graphics, grounded in strong user-centered design principles, is an advantage • Along with exceptional visual design skills, you have significant experience in the creation and maintenance of complex design systems • Fair understanding of Interaction Design Principles, including micro-interactions, transitions, and animations • Proven ability to effectively collaborate with product UX design teams to understand and align with project goals and product use cases
