We are seeking a Senior UX Designer to provide the vision to define and design Alexa intelligent assistant experiences. In this role, you will make a significant impact on our business by delivering customer-focused solutions at scale. The ideal candidate must be responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within an open and collaborative peer environment. You should be comfortable leading projects forward in the face of ambiguity. From day one, you will play an integral role in defining problems, driving alignment around key customer experience outcomes, building workflows, creating and testing low-fidelity prototypes, and designing delightful, highly-usable digital experiences. The ability to drive the entire UX process from concept to implementation, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and adapt quickly to changing priorities is essential. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, along with a portfolio showcasing successful, user-centered designs, are required. Key job responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end design process, from problem definition to delivery.
- Use business requirements, customer and market research to assist in developing scenarios, use cases and high-level requirements to shape product strategy.
- Design the information architecture, interface and interaction flows for Alexa agent experiences
- Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, detailed user-interface specifications and design patterns
- Develop and maintain documentation of customer behaviors, motivations, and daily habits.
- Work with program managers to plan projects for effective delivery while maintaining high standards for design
- Write effectively to communicate design rationales and benefits to Amazon customers
- Use analytics and data to drive design decision making to best serve our customers
- Guide a cross-functional team and elevate the culture of UX thinking and design excellence
