Provide designers with reusable UI components, documentation, and tools to enable efficient and consistent native design workflows. Partner with engineering teams to streamline implementation and maintain quality across mobile platforms. Cross-Platform Expertise: Create and document patterns tailored for native iOS and Android platforms, considering platform-specific behaviors and interactions. Collaborate with web design system teams to ensure seamless integration and consistency across digital touchpoints. Lead mobile-first design strategies for visuals, content, and user interactions optimized for smaller screens. Collaboration: Work closely with product owners, engineers, and researchers to deliver solutions informed by user insights and feedback. Act as a liaison between mobile and web design teams to foster alignment and consistency across platforms. Innovation and Best Practices: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and mobile UX best practices to incorporate innovative features. Explore and implement cutting-edge solutions, including native patterns and platform-specific interactions. Accessibility: Ensure all mobile components adhere to accessibility standards, fostering inclusive experiences. Collaborate with accessibility experts to develop tools and patterns that meet the needs of users with diverse abilities. Documentation and Standards: Create and maintain detailed documentation, design tokens, and educational resources to promote consistent system adoption. Conduct workshops and training sessions to onboard teams to the design system and principles. Qualifications:Experience: 5+ years in UX design, with at least 2 years focused on design systems development. Strong portfolio showcasing contributions to design systems, including component design, documentation, and adoption efforts. Mobile Expertise: Proficiency in designing for iOS and Android platforms, with a deep understanding of their guidelines and constraints. Hands-on experience with tools like Figma, including design tokens, theming, and component creation. Collaboration and Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working across product, engineering, and research disciplines. Proven ability to advocate for design principles and align stakeholders around shared goals. Problem-Solving and Creativity: Skilled in translating user needs into elegant, intuitive mobile solutions. strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, balancing user needs with business objectives. Nice-to-Have: Experience with chat interactions or other mobile-first features. Familiarity with responsive design and multi-device UX strategies. Background contributing to or managing mobile-focused design systems.
