Design brings the Disney magic to life by building digital customer experiences via the entire portfolio of both consumer-facing products and internal products and tooling. This includes Sports, Entertainment, News, Streaming and Enterprise Products and Experiences.
Job Summary:
UX Engineers at Disney are creative problem solvers who look to collaborate with the Design and Technology teams to create high-fidelity prototypes across our entire product portfolio using native and/or web programming languages. We expect a Sr UX Engineer to work on multiple prototypes and technical proofs-of-concept simultaneously, both from the ground up and optimizing existing solutions, with in-depth knowledge about the latest design and engineering trends and technologies.
Roles & Responsibilities:
You will contribute to creating high fidelity prototypes and technical proofs-of-concept across our entire product portfolio using native and/or web programming languages
You will be a point of contact to coordinate requirements with stakeholders
You will collaborate with a diverse set of partners
You will innovate new consumer experiences
You will work closely with Product, Design, and Engineering partners to create prototypes and provide technical oversight to designers
You will present prototype and proof-of-concept work to partners and stakeholders
Your design and technical work sets an example for other UX Engineers to follow
Qualifications:
As an applicant to this role, we ask that your portfolio demonstrates:
5+ years of relevant industry experiences
BA/BS or equivalent experience required
You have experience crafting high quality experiences for web with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
You have experience crafting high quality experiences for iOS, iPadOS, and tvOS with Swift and UIKit
You have exposure to full stack engineering best practices across web, native, and living room platforms.
You have an expert understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices
You are a self-motivated, problem solver with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
You are hungry for innovation, eager to challenge the status quo
You have expert understanding of adaptive, responsive, and fluid UI layout concepts
You are an expert in knowledge in UI Development best practices
You have experience with UI motion and animation best practices
You have a strong interest in and aptitude for learning the new platforms, software languages, and concepts as trends shift in the industry
You have a strong work ethic, are reliable, adaptable, and work well with others
You have knowledge of design tools such as Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite
The hiring range for this position in Glendale or Burbank is $126,400 to $169,500 per year, in New York or Seattle is $132,500 to $177,600 per year and in San Francisco is $138,500 to $185,600 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.Job Posting Segment:
