Advanced Sterilization Products (ASP) is seeking an accomplished Sr. Value Stream Operations Manager with expertise in value stream optimization within the biologics industry. This role is pivotal in driving efficiency, reducing waste, and fostering continuous improvement across our biologics manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership capabilities, proficiency in Lean Six Sigma methodologies, and a track record of successfully implementing strategic process improvements. The scope includes oversight of production, planning, supply chain, and warehouse operations.
Responsibilities:
Value Stream Optimization:
Lead initiatives to analyze, map, and optimize value streams throughout biologics manufacturing processes. Apply Lean Six Sigma principles to identify and eliminate inefficiencies, enhance workflow, and optimize cycle times.Continuous Improvement:
Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement by promoting innovation, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration. Be proficient in the facilitation of KAIZENs to drive rapid, focused process improvements. Drive improvement projects aimed at improving quality, increasing productivity, and reducing costs across value streams.Performance Metrics and Analysis:
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of value stream optimization efforts. Utilize data analytics to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for operational enhancement.Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with quality assurance, R&D, engineering, and facilities teams to align on optimization strategies and goals. Facilitate regular meetings and workshops to communicate objectives, track progress, and drive actionable insights across departments.Project Management:
Manage multiple improvement projects concurrently, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, timelines, and budget constraints. Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, ensuring successful project execution and achievement of deliverables.Change Management:
Lead change management initiatives related to process improvements, ensuring effective implementation and stakeholder engagement. Evaluate the impact of changes on operational performance, adjusting strategies as needed to sustain improvements and drive continuous progress.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA) preferred. Minimum of 8 years of experience in operations management, value stream optimization, or process improvement within the biologics or pharmaceutical industry. Proficiency in Lean Six Sigma methodologies with Black Belt certification and hands-on experience in applying these principles. Track record of successfully leading and implementing continuous improvement initiatives, resulting in measurable operational efficiencies and cost savings. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across diverse teams and organizational levels. Experience in project management, including planning, execution, and monitoring of projects from initiation to completion. Availability to manage and support operations outside of regular working hours, including occasional weekend and night shifts as required. Experience in Medical Device, Pharma or Biologics industries preferred.
