HDR has an exciting opportunity for a proven leader in the water and wastewater field to join our already strong Rocky Mountain Water program in our Colorado Springs, Colorado office. We are looking for a self-motivated, seller-doer Senior Water-Wastewater Project Manager (PM). The primary duties of this position will include marketing, planning, directing and monitoring all aspects of medium to large multi-disciplinary water and wastewater projects with high degrees of technical complexity. More specifically the Sr. Water-Wastewater PM will be expected to effectively interface with clients and independently lead and supervise teams of engineers and CAD professionals to create detailed master plans, designs including plans and specifications, and estimates for water and wastewater conveyance and treatment related systems. These responsibilities will include: developing project design criteria, schematics and methods; performing or overseeing process design sizing and hydraulic calculations; preparing preliminary design and other engineering reports; determining and writing engineering specifications and front-end documents: overseeing the production of design drawings; developing and executing QA/QC and risk management plans for each project; and working directly with the owner to ensure that the project meets or exceeds the owners expectation. The Sr. Water-Wastewater PM will have the demonstrated ability to lead design teams in medium to large multi-disciplinary projects. The Sr. Water-Wastewater PM will also be responsible for mentoring other engineering personnel. The Sr. Water-Wastewater PM will collaborate and coordinate designs with subject matter experts in the areas of conveyance, pumping systems, water and wastewater treatment designs. The Sr. Water-Wastewater PM will be expected to effectively interface with all of our clients while also positioning and leading pursuits for new work.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering - Civil and/or Environmental or other water realted engineering degree10 years related experienceA minimum 5 years project management experiencePE license in ColoradoMS Office and MS Project experience is required (Access experience would be plus)Demonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skillsAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degreeExperience in design of complex municipal water and wastewater systems. Strong technical background and experience in designing treatment systems, water distribution systems, and wastewater collection systems and water resource related projects.PMP certification

The expected compensation range for this position is $115,990.00 - $165,700.00 annually/hourly depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.)
